The Drapery Master

Hi!

Dave Brown here. Some call me Dr. Dave. What they don’t know is that “Dr” is short for “Drapery” around here. So it’s actually “Drapery Dave”.
Even more call me the “Blind Man”…… I can go with that.

I was taught by an old German guy in San Luis Obispo, on how to sell and install drapery, blinds, shades, shutters, and a myriad of other treatments. I signed up with him to work in the summer of 1975. In 1979, I started my own business. By 1980, I had joined a national CoOp called ‘International Drapery association’. (IDA) Kathy and I relocated to Merced in January of 1983. Well… We’ve been here and I’ve been doing Window coverings ever since.

I currently sell and install window coverings of all types.

As a result of the economy, I closed the doors of my showroom for Elegant Window Fashions downtown Merced on K street. I am now working from my home.

• Restrings – I have many different size strings for different products.
• Installs – any window covering
• Fix blind parts – sometimes, if i can’t find a part, I might make one or fix the one you have!. (That’s a Maybe…)
• Fix Drapery Parts – same as above.
